Holistic Therapy for Women in Riverside, CA
Holistic therapy is a whole-person approach to healing that cares for your emotional, physical, and mental wellbeing together, rather than treating symptoms in isolation. So much of what women carry lives in the body as well as the mind, and a holistic approach gently tends to both at once.
At Sol Women’s Treatment, we bring these practices into evidence-based care within a calm, women-only outpatient setting, so your recovery feels grounded, gentle, and shaped around you. Wherever you are starting from, our goal is simply for you to feel safe, understood, and supported at every step.
Care Built Around Women
What Is Holistic Therapy?
Holistic therapy looks beyond a single symptom to care for you as a whole person. For many women, stress, trauma, and mental health struggles show up in the mind and the body at once, so we gently bring the two back into balance together.
Within our women-only outpatient program, holistic practices are integrated into your broader treatment plan. Depending on what feels right for you, your care may include therapies such as:
EMDR therapy. A structured, evidence-based way to work through difficult or traumatic memories. We move at your pace, so nothing ever feels rushed or overwhelming.
Somatic therapy. Stress and trauma are often held in the body, not only the mind. Somatic work helps you notice and gently release that tension, reconnecting you with a sense of safety.
Mindfulness and meditation. Simple, grounding practices that bring you back to the present moment. Over time, they can quiet racing thoughts and ease the physical pull of anxiety.
Trauma therapy. Care that centers your experiences and puts your sense of safety first. We focus on healing at a pace that feels manageable, never asking you to revisit more than you are ready for.
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Practical skills for managing intense emotions, staying grounded, and navigating relationships. Many women find it especially steadying in difficult moments.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). A well-established approach that helps you notice unhelpful thought patterns and gently shift them. It pairs naturally with holistic practices for a fuller picture of healing.
Art therapy. Creative expression as a softer path to processing emotions that are hard to put into words. No artistic experience is needed, only a willingness to explore.
Music therapy. Using sound and rhythm to ease stress and reconnect with feeling. It can open the door to emotional expression when words feel out of reach.
Group therapy. Shared healing alongside other women who understand. There is real comfort in knowing you are not alone in what you are carrying.
Motivational interviewing. A supportive, judgment-free way of exploring your own goals and readiness for change. We meet you where you are, without pressure.
Who Holistic Therapy at Sol Is For
Holistic therapy can be a gentle fit for many of the women we care for, especially when stress and past experiences are felt in the body as much as the mind. You might find it supportive if you are:
In early recovery and looking for steady, whole-person support.
Healing from trauma or its lasting effects, including tension the body still holds.
Carrying the weight of burnout, work stress, or difficult relationships.
Navigating anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges.
Wanting care that feels calming and personal, rather than clinical or rushed.
How Holistic Therapy Supports Your Mental Health
When we care for the whole person, healing often feels more complete. Alongside talk therapy, holistic practices can help you build greater self-awareness, steady your response to stress, and feel more at home in your body again.
Women navigating anxiety, depression, or the aftermath of trauma often find that a gentler, more integrated approach helps them stay engaged in treatment. Our team meets you where you are and adjusts your plan as you grow.
Holistic Therapy Across Our Levels of Care
Holistic therapy is not a separate track at Sol. It is incorporated into each level of our women-only outpatient care, so your support stays consistent as your needs change. Whether you begin with more structure or step down to lighter support, holistic practices stay part of your plan.
What Makes Our Approach Different
Holistic care means something specific at Sol. It happens inside a small, all-female community built entirely around women’s healing.
An all-female environment. A space where you can feel safe to be fully yourself.
A small community. No more than 25 women at a time, so care never feels like a conveyor belt.
Trauma-focused support. Including in-person EMDR, woven into your care.
Founder-led care. Guided by our founder and Chief Clinical Officer, Tania Acevedo, MA, LPCC.
Supportive housing. Women-only housing with 24/7 house-manager support, if you need a steady place to stay.
What to Expect in Holistic Care at Sol
From your very first visit, our goal is for you to feel safe, welcome, and unhurried. Holistic care is not one fixed program you have to fit into. It is a set of practices we shape around you, combined and intergrated into your treatment in a way that feels natural. Here is what that looks like day to day:
A calm, women-only setting. Care takes place in a warm, private space designed to feel steadying rather than clinical.
A plan shaped around you. We start by understanding your history and needs, then choose the practices that fit, rather than fitting you into a fixed template.
Holistic practices alongside proven therapy. Mindfulness, somatic work, and creative expression sit next to evidence-based care, not in place of it.
A team that adjusts with you. As you grow and your needs change, we revisit your plan together so it keeps meeting you where you are.
